Walmart is one of the biggest well known companies in the united states and in the world since 1962 when founder Sam Walton creates Walmart. It has been the place where a lot of people usually do their shopping for the lower prices and variety of products. This why it is so controversial
Walmart continues to grew even with this accusations of unethical business practices.
Walmart has been accused of sexual discrimination and unfair pay for employees and destruction of small towns, excessive amount of corporate power through the government and Walmart is turning into m monopoly. With all of these allegations, Walmart is still one of the leading discount retail in the country and as a corporate office they still stand tall and state that they follow fair ethical values.
In today's ethically driven society each and every person expects other person to follow ethics and even company's as well. If a company doesn't follow ethical rules the society will force it to do so either by Law or will not allow it run the operations smoothly.

DeleteThis article has projected discounted price of any product as an unethical practice but in practical scenario you can see that most of the e -com are offering there product at discounted price . Are they practicing unethical business model?
ReplyDeleteI think giving discount is not an unethical practices because it is business strategy a to improve the business. Giving discount is beneficial for the customers and it helps in gathering of the customer.

DeleteWalmart sells the goods for a lower price after cutting its expenses. And makes gender differences among its employees. Which is the growth value of the company can down in the future.
ReplyDeleteYes i agree, Walmart is providing the products at the lowest price and its good for the customers but in the other hand its not doing good with the employee, Gender inequality lead the company future in the dark side but after a lots of allegations Walmart has corrected its mistake and retained its position.
DeleteEthics aren't absolute .If they were ,we would have discovered the absoluteness already. Ethics are filters and cultures refines by individual minds.Some of the people have strong ethical issues with Walmart.I dont agree with those concerns entirely.I think those are factors but are exaggerated. Walmart is the biggest brand in business and an easy target to attack.
ReplyDeleteYes, you the correct different person have different way of thinking. Ethical or unethical depend upon the thinker what is correct or incorrect according to his or her thought. its very easy to target and big brand make the small issues bigger but here the issue is quit big.
